All the Permutations

Loving Snow

in all its permutations

the swirling beauty

of snow coming at you and me

through a window or a windshield or your eyeglasses

landing lightly and delicately

or not

flashing by my life

in and out and back in again

face to face

flake to flake

asking for nothing but your momentary indulgence in a willow wisp of frozen ubiquity

in its individuality

there is no duality

in a snowflake

no doppelganger

somewhere else in the world

sticking its tongue out

at you and me

alone truly free

tongue wagging

I am me
